PicoSure Laser Tattoo Removal
Dedicated to using the most advanced technologies, our practice was the first in the world to utilize PicoSure’s multi-handpiece system, allowing us to treat tattoos of any color, excluding white ink. Healing after a treatment is rapid. Although laser tattoo removal feels similar to getting a tattoo, each session takes much less time. The majority of treatments take between 15-30 minutes. Your practitioner will work with you to maximize your comfort by offering numbing cream or a chilling machine to blow cool air onto the treatment area. Treatments take place every 8 weeks to allow sufficient time for tissue healing and to optimize continual ink elimination. Most tattoos can be completely removed without scarring the skin or leaving a white “ghost” of the original tattoo behind, which is a common issue encountered with other tattoo removal technologies.
How Does it Work?
The PicoSure is the most advanced tattoo removal system on the market and emits ultra-short pulses in the picosecond range (trillionths of a second). This pulse duration is significantly shorter than traditional nanosecond lasers. The shorter pulse duration enables faster delivery of laser energy, resulting in enhanced effectiveness and better treatment outcomes.
Laser energy is absorbed by the ink, causing it to splatter into tiny droplets the body can rapidly absorb. PicoSure revolutionized the laser tattoo removal industry by having the ability to remove tattoos two to four times quicker than previous technology, while simultaneously reducing treatment pain and nearly eliminating the risk of scarring. The average number of sessions needed to remove the tattoo is 8, although this number is dependent on several variables, such as ink type, size of the tattoo, location on the body, tattoo age, etc.
How Much Does It Cost
At Milwaukee Laser & Body Aesthetics, we offer personalized tattoo removal pricing to match the uniqueness of each tattoo. Just as every tattoo is distinct, our treatment and pricing are tailored to your specific needs. During the complimentary, 30-minute consultation, our Clinic Manager will determine the cost of removal after accounting for the area of the tattoo, thickness/layers of ink used, location and color. Due to this highly customized pricing, we are not able to provide quotes over the phone or without a consultation.
We offer pricing for both individual treatment sessions and package options. Packages include 8 sessions and require a down payment of half of the first session’s price. If you are enrolled in a package and more than 8 sessions are needed, additional sessions are provided at ½ off the session price.
